DMX Goes Number 1 & 2 On US iTunes Shortly After His Dea.th

American Hip Hop rapper and Hollywood actor Earl Simmons also known as DMX now hold the number one and two spots on United States iTunes shortly after his death was announced.

DMX came into the Hip Hop scene after the death of Hip Hop legends 2Pac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. He is known to be one of the few artistes who restored rap music to its glory days in the late 90s. The Hip Hop legend who produced a lot of hits songs during his long career as a rapper streaming numbers started to grow when reports of him been admitted into the hospital hit the media circles about six days ago. Undoubtedly, one of the songs which is really ‘catching’ the numbers is the ‘Ruff Ryders’ Anthem’ song which now holds the number one spot on US iTunes. His ‘Party Up’ song too hols the number two spot.

Both songs comes off the rapper’s debut album titled ‘It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot’ which was released in 1998. The album is said to have debut on the Billboard 200 chart as number one and stayed at the top spot for several weeks. Earl before his passing has starred in a couple of movies including the famous ‘Cradle 2 the Grave’ which features Chinese and action movie legend Jet Li , ‘Romeo Must Die’, ‘Exit Wounds’ etc. DMX died yesterday at the age of 50 years after he was admitted at the hospital for a couple of days. He was said to have been rushed to the hospital after a drug overdose which resulted in a heart attack. After the announcement of his death, two songs of the rapper now hold the number one and two spots on iTunes.
