A lot of reactions have emanated from core music lovers in Nigeria after Wizkid dropped his “Made In Lagos” Album last week Thursday.

A section of Nigerian music lovers appreciated the fact that Wizkid is trying to force his newly found sound from the other on Nigerians.

From the title of the album, one would have thought Wizkid is coming back home with some “Pakurumo“, “Ojuelegba“, “On Top Your Matter” vibe but he still chose to sound like a full-fledged international act.

The idea of making an international standard album and dedicating it to Lagos is a very excellent one.

And of course, Wizkid has once again shown that he does not belong to the class of artistes who need to sign young artistes and turn them into songwriters to stay relevant.

Wiz is still a badass songwriter but his delivery in this album can only be appreciated by those who understand the concept of good music, not some Zanku addicts who parade themselves as music pundits online.

Personally, I feel Wizkid performed beyond my expectation on this album and I strongly believe that he could get hold of a Grammy real soon if he continues on this new sound pattern.
