A yet to be identified man has been killed for reportedly stealing a motorcycle from a commercial rider in Makurdi, the Benue State.

Reports have it that the suspect shot the commercial motorcyclist in an attempt to bolt away with his bike however the bullet couldn’t do the damage he wanted. He was quickly surrounded by other motorcyclists in the area who set him ablaze along Otukpo road near Hotel Bobec.

The gruesome incident happened on Tuesday, November 10.

A Facebooker called Jacob Dese Akpene shared photos of the burnt remains on social media captioning;

“Why can’t you do the same thing the okada man did to get the bike, most of them ride these bikes on higher purchase and join contributions. It’s not easy for them too but they manage to save and get theirs. Go and hustle young man and stop stealing. “
